Job description:

• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of field activities
• Provide advice, assistance and technical inputs in the planning and in the implementation of the project activities
• Develop tools for data collection and monitoring and evaluation
• Submit weekly reports on field activities
• Conduct regular visits to the beneficiaries and provide feedback to management
• Supervise and coordinate work of field operators
• Coordinate and carry out monitoring and evaluation field missions
• Assist in the monitoring of expenditures and budget tracking ensuring cohesion with planning processes
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years field experience in managing/monitoring field Programmes in Child Protection/Children’s Right Awareness with minimum of two years experience in projects related to CSEC (Commercial sexual exploitation of children) and CST (Commercial sex tourism)
• Diploma or university degree in social work, social sciences, development or related field (or equivalence in relevant experience)
• Comprehensive knowledge of: Human Rights, ILO convention 182, the UN convention on the Rights of the Child, The African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child Kenya and the Children Act
• Demonstrated Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory methods of community development and mobilization
• Demonstrated experience in developing strong monitoring systems
• Demonstrated data collection skills
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power point
• Fluent in English and Swahili, knowledge of Kimijikenda is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing/reporting skills
